When we wake up and come into our office we hope to do two things: create great products that serve a need in people’s daily lives and make the world a little better place. Our favorite motto is one we live by: “happiness is only real when shared.” It has remained our goal to spread happiness by supporting important causes in humanitarian, environmental and animal rights organizations.
We are very excited to announce we are on the path to transitioning all our products to 100% recycled paper & biodegradable shrink wrap. We have chosen not to profit at the cost of destroying our planet and we encourage other companies to do the same for the sake of our beautiful planet and its future. We expect by Spring 2020 to have completed this transition into being 100% recycled & biodegradable.

This Is Our Story
Believe it or not our current operation in its infancy started out at the flea market all the way back in 2009. We didn’t know then that this was just the beginning.
In 2016, we were close to 200,000 calendars per year. Then we thought, “Why not make our own?” This is when Bright Day Calendars Publishing was officially established. We started with a line of 10 calendars in 2016 to retail, building to our current catalog of over 450 products which they retail and wholesale. Whole Foods is the most well known store to carry the brand, although we see ourselves in many more large stores in the near future.
Frequently Peter would ask himself the same question: “If we went bankrupt next year, what would I have wished I had done this year?” The answer was always the same – to “give more”. So that same year he started a program called “Bright Day”. For one day a week all employees would get paid not to work, but to instead pursue whatever they were passionate about. Tuesdays at work turned into guitar sessions, dance routines, and philosophical reading. His thought process was that many employees in America live to work and may never have the opportunity to discover what they are passionate about or what their talents are. “Bright Day” was phased out after a year and replaced by our “Calendars for a Cause” line. The idea behind this line is to grow as a company that simultaneously uplifts others less fortunate. Calendar for a Cause donates 10-15% of gross revenue to its non-profit partners. We have great hopes to expand this line as we continue to expand our catalog with new products.
Right now, Bright Day Calendars is on a new path, projecting larger revenue this year with aggressive plans to grow. The vision is to use the resources of a growing business as an opportunity for the team to grow themselves as well as attempting to make a meaningful and positive impact on the world through prioritizing employees happiness & sharing success with those in need instead of prioritizing profits.
We believe calendars are a tool for all of us to live each day intentionally. We practice intentional living in our workplace as well from our commitment to the highest quality product, to the way we engage with our customers and communities to be a business of integrity.
