Community Outreach

We believe Chris Mccandles said it best: "Happiness is only real when shared" We strive to make this quote our business model by incorporating community service and charitable efforts to the very fabric of our company. Here are a few of our most recent projects.

Calendars for a Cause

Calendars for a cause is our newly launched Calendar line dedicating 10% of our gross revenue to various non profits ranging from humanitarian & environmental efforts as well as animal sanctuaries.Calendars for a cause products may be found on or at your local Whole Foods.

How it works:

If you are a puppy lover, you could purchase our "rescue puppies" calendar in which 10% of our proceeds is donated to Muddy Paws petconnect rescue, a animal sanctuary in Maryland which saves dogs from abuse and high kill shelters around the country. This same model applies to all of our calendars in our "calendars for a cause" product line.

Daily meal support for rural Gambia Africa

Beginning in April 2017, Bright Day Calendars has partnered with The New Hope Project to sponsor a year-round meal support project. Currently, there are many in rural Gambia who struggle everyday to get the food and nourishment they need to survive. This is a huge problem, so Bright Day Calendars has pledged to provide 18,300 meals a year to help address it. We've sponsored a vehicle in rural Gambia for food distribution, hired a full-time chef to cook those meals, and are funding the monthly food expenses to make this goal possible. We also sent a member of our team to Gambia this summer (2017) to join The New Hope Project and look into how we can further address the needs of the people in Gambia and expand the possibilities to enrich the communities we serve. Nothing makes us happier than to be able to share our company's prosperity with those in need.

Preschool Scholarships & Funding with The Gambia Project

Furthering our work in Gambia, we have also been partners with The Gambia Project for over a year now to provide scholarships and funding for a local preschool. We believe that education is the key to empowerment and in the midst of political hardship, Gambia is in dire need of educational support for the nation's youth. Our CEO, Peter Piorkowski is passionate about this project and personally flew out for a few weeks this summer to work on the school, and meet the kids!

Aiton Elementary School Toy Give-away!

While education is the key to opening opportunities, we also feel it is important to experience joy and leisure to ensure a high quality of life. That's why we donated 50-75 brand new toys each month to the children of Aiton Elementary School in Washington DC for their 2016 school year. Check out the pictures below!

If you have an idea for an initiative to help those in need, we'd love to hear about it! Please send us an email with your plan of action and let's see how we can support. We love partnering with other people or organizations who are just as passionate about making a difference and positive impact as we are.
